Pastor Rick & his family first came to Abundant Life in June 2013, they brought with them an incredible ability to lead, empower and encourage those in need. With over 35 years of experience in ministry, our leaders provide inspiration and direction to keep the organization moving forward and expanding in new areas based on their community’s needs.
Pastor Rick & Chrissy South - Lead Pastor
With over 35 years' experience in worship, youth, and lead ministry, Pastor Rick & Chrissy are blessed to partner, promote & encourage all to pursue a personal relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Their desire is for all to find freedom in Christ's love and acceptance, and to pursue and use their God-given talents and gifts to connect, grow and serve their local church body, community, and state.
Pastor Rick holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Church Leadership and a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership. He has served many years on the Michigan COG State Youth Board and is an active member in his local community and network groups. He is proud to serve his community as the Local Chaplin of the Wyoming Fire Department. Chrissy is a retired dental hygienist and serves in many administrative and organizational positions in the church. They have three children, Andrew, Kati (Michael), and Jess, who all serve in various areas of ministry. Rick, Chrissy, and their children are thrilled to share their love and faith in Christ to Abundant Life and the community of Wyoming.
